Chaitra Navratri Navratri has great importance in Hinduism. Chaitra Navratri is celebrated in Chaitra (the month of March-April), it is called Chaitra Navratri. Nine forms of Durga are worshiped during Navratri. Religious belief is that a person who worships Maa Durga with true devotion and sincerity gets desired results, although it is not described anywhere in our scriptures.

The first Navratri falls in the beginning of summer in the month of Chaitra i.e. in April and the second Navratri is celebrated in the beginning of winter i.e. in October.
