About Ambigeria Government College
Government General Degree College, Kharagpur-II, is one of the newly born government college that started journey from June, 2015. At present five honours subjects in Arts (BENGALI, ENGLISH, PHILOSOPHY, POLITICAL SCIENCE & HISTORY) and three honours subjects in science ( BOTANY, ZOOLOGY & PHYSIOLOGY) has been introduced by the attached Vidyasagar University. Pass course in Bengali, English, Philosophy, Political science, History, Chemistry, Zoology, Mathematics and Physiology are being taught here in this session. We are also planning to introduce physical education as honours subject in the coming session and for that purpose we have already started to build up a proper gym. The college has enough space and it may expand further with a playing ground of its own. In this campus area these in an old rice - mill which can be converted to a spacious auditorium. We are also planning to raise another storey in our college building to provide space for seminar and conferences we are in hope to open our college canteen shortly. The objective of the college is to provide high quality
of education to the students. We also exams the need to develop all round facilties for the students including various cultural activities, sports and other extra curriculars. Taking the oath of machine forward, the administrator, teachers, non-teaching staffs and students of Government General Degree College, Kharagpur-II have the sincerest endeavour of transforming themselves into members of a family, the ultimate aim of which is achieving academic excellence with a touch of perfection. As the first officer in charge of this institution I would like to take the opportunity to convey my sincere thanks and gratitude to all administrator and social institution as well as neighbouring people who joined hands with us and extended support to fulfil the project of government . Our environment is congenial for all students of high, medium and average merit. We invite all in our campus.
