പൂർണ്ണ സുന്ദരി, ഒരു യക്ഷിയുടെ കുട്ടി;
അവളുടെ മുടി നീളമുള്ളതായിരുന്നു, അവളുടെ കാൽ ഇളം ആയിരുന്നു,
അവളുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ വന്യമായിരുന്നു.

ഞാൻ അവളുടെ തലയ്ക്ക് ഒരു മാല ഉണ്ടാക്കി,
വളകളും സുഗന്ധമുള്ള മേഖലയും;
അവൾ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ എന്നെ നോക്കി,
ഒപ്പം മധുരമായ ഞരക്കവും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.

ഞാൻ അവളെ എന്റെ പേസിങ് സ്റ്റീഡിൽ കയറ്റി,
ദിവസം മുഴുവൻ മറ്റൊന്നും കണ്ടില്ല,
ഒരു വശത്ത് അവൾ കുനിഞ്ഞ് പാടും
ഒരു ഫെയറി പാട്ട്.

അവൾ എനിക്ക് മധുരത്തിന്റെ വേരുകൾ കണ്ടെത്തി,
തേൻ കാടും മന്ന-ഡ്യൂവും,
തീർച്ചയായും വിചിത്രമായ ഭാഷയിൽ അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു-
'ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു സത്യം'.

അവൾ എന്നെ അവളുടെ എൽഫിൻ ഗ്രോട്ടിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി,
അവിടെ അവൾ കരഞ്ഞു, വല്ലാതെ നെടുവീർപ്പിട്ടു,
അവിടെ ഞാൻ അവളുടെ വന്യമായ, വന്യമായ കണ്ണുകൾ അടച്ചു
നാല് ചുംബനങ്ങളോടെ.

അവിടെ അവൾ എന്നെ ഉറങ്ങാൻ പ്രേരിപ്പിച്ചു,
അവിടെ ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു - ആഹ്! കഷ്ടം!
ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ട ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ സ്വപ്നം
തണുത്ത കുന്നിന്റെ വശത്ത്.

വിളറിയ രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും രാജകുമാരന്മാരെയും ഞാൻ കണ്ടു,
വിളറിയ യോദ്ധാക്കൾ, മരണം-വിളറിയവർ എല്ലാവരും;
അവർ നിലവിളിച്ചു - 'ലാ ബെല്ലെ ഡാം സാൻസ് മെർസി
നിനക്ക് ശല്യമുണ്ടോ! '

പട്ടിണി കിടക്കുന്ന അവരുടെ ചുണ്ടുകൾ ഇരുട്ടിൽ ഞാൻ കണ്ടു,
ഭയാനകമായ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് വിടവോടെ,
ഞാൻ ഉണർന്ന് എന്നെ ഇവിടെ കണ്ടെത്തി,
തണുത്ത കുന്നിന്റെ വശത്ത്.

അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ താമസിക്കുന്നത്,
ഒറ്റയ്ക്കും മങ്ങിയതും,

'La Belle Dame sans Merci' ('The Beautiful Lady Without Mercy') is a ballad produced by the English poet John Keats in 1819. The title was derived from the title of a 15th-century poem by Alain Chartier called La Belle Dame sans Mercy.

Considered an English classic, the poem is an example of Keats' poetic preoccupation with love and death. The poem is about a fairy who condemns a knight to an unpleasant fate after she seduces him with her eyes and singing.
